Before the Camino de Santiago: preparing your body in Le Puy-en-Velay

Every year, more than twenty thousand people leave from Le Puy-en-Velay for Santiago de Compostela. They sleep here the night before. They are a little scared. And tomorrow, they will walk.
The day before
There's a moment no one talks about: the night before. You've packed your bag ten times. You've read the guidebooks. And yet, lying in an unfamiliar room in Le Puy-en-Velay, you still don't know what your body will tell you.
At Spa Le Mont Anis, just minutes from the cathedral, we welcome these walkers. Before setting off, to prepare the legs, back, and shoulders that will bear the brunt of the journey. And upon returning, to soothe the body that has been on the move.
A massage designed for walking
No pre-prepared protocol. Each massage begins with a discussion: your current state, your apprehensions, what your body already knows. Then the legs, the back, the neck.
After 75 minutes, the experience concludes with a Himalayan salt foot bath. For those leaving, it's a preparation. For those returning, it's a repair.
The Crossing of Mount Anis
Our signature treatment is directly inspired by the path. It is performed with four hands — two practitioners, a single movement — using warm basalt stones, the very rock on which the city is built.
The Crossing of Mount Anis obtained 4th place at the National Signature Skincare Competition France, in Paris, in 2026.
